Hello, I’m Amanda! I grew up with dogs and have just always adored them. Anytime I have the opportunity to interact with one I am happy to do so! I love that this job allows me to be involved in something I am passionate about. I think it is important to do something you care about, and I have always cared about animals, so when I saw an opportunity to do this, I jumped at it! I will always care for your pet as if they were my own. Every pet is special and deserves love and care and I am happy to help provide them with that when their humans are off having fun of their own!

Hello!  I have been a pet sitter with AFPC since August 2015, but I've have been a cat owner for over 30 years, and currently have four cats of my own.  I primarily focus on pet sitting cats, but I have enjoyed caring for dogs occasionally as well.  I love learning each pet's unique personality, and how I can best make them happy and comfortable while they are in my care.  I am skilled at giving medications, including oral and topical meds, insulin injections, as well as subQ fluids.  I also have lots of experience with senior pets. 

My service areas are Centreville, Chantilly, and some parts of South Riding and Fairfax.

Hi! I'm a longtime client of AFPC. I live in Ashburn with my husband and two cats, Mango and Dash. My boys are roughly 15 years old, and I've learned so much about cats over the years in order to give them their best lives. I've worked with SPCA of NOVA for more than 10 years as a graphic designer and editor for their annual newsletter, which has also been a great source of pet information. I love all animals, but cats are my favorite. I have experience giving cats pills, both with pill pockets and also with a pill-pusher when one of my boys was not cooperating. As someone who is very particular about who watches my cats, you can trust that I will treat you and your furry kids with the same respect, dedication, and attention to detail that I have always appreciated from my AFPC pet sitters.

Hello! I'm a longtime client of AFPC who has recently retired, looking for the perfect part-time job, and I found it! I'm a huge animal lover, very reliable and trustworthy, and I enjoy meeting new fur babies. I find it extremely rewarding and satisfying, and most of all FUN! I have taken care of animals my entire life, and I'm very comfortable handling all sorts of pets. I currently have four cats, and even though I don't have a dog of my own, I have plenty of friends who do, so I get to look after the pups when their parents travel.

I have experience giving cats injections. I enjoy caring for pets of all ages, and can tailor my services to any companion, whether it's an energetic puppy/kitten, or a more senior or laid back pet. I understand how important it is to entrust your furry family members to the hands of someone who genuinely cares.

​Hi, I'm Betsy!  I was a longtime client of AFPC until Sep 2018, when my beloved cat, Baby, passed away.  I feel that being a client gives me a unique advantage now as a pet sitter, as I know what I expected as a client, and can translate that into my own service as a pet sitter.  My own cat was a senior, and required oral medication, so I became quite skilled at that process. I am a retired teacher who specialized in educational programming for special needs students, and I am very gentle and responsive.

I have always enjoyed meeting new pets, and noticed that all of the pets I have known have had distint personalities.  Meeting new pets is like meeting new friends!  I look forward to making friends with your pets, and I'll strive to offer them a professional and compassionate pet sitter.

My name is Carolin and I have been a pet sitter for All Friends since 2010. Spending time with animals is the highlight of my day, and as a pet owner, pet sitter, and foster mama, I get to do lots of it! I care for all kinds of pets, from dogs to birds, and my service area is generally Fairfax, Oakton, and Chantilly.

My name is Casey and I've been with AFPC since April 2008. I love all animals and am happy to visit any breed or species. Because of my full time job outside of pet sitting, I do most often visit cats. I live in Springfield with my husband, our pup Moxie, cats Asiago and Niolo, and snake, Ninja. My service area is primarily Springfield and Alexandria.

I'm a lifelong lover of biology and animals of all kinds. I've owned chickens, ducks, rabbits, and a goat, I've never been without a pet cat, and I had a dog that was my best friend for 11 years. In college, I worked for 2 years at a boarding/daycare facility taking care of tons of cats and dogs (sometimes up to 200 would board with us at once!) I did in-home pet care for a year before moving to Virginia in 2018 and joining AFPC.

I love getting to see the happy faces of pups and kitties each day! Each animal has their own personality and quirks, and I think it's so fun to get to know them over time. I can give pills and administer eye drops and topical medications. I have experience with senior pets, as well as pets with a higher level of fear or anxiety that need a gentle hand.  I will always take my time and do everything I can to make sure your pets are happy, healthy, and getting the love and care they need!

Hello! I have over 20 years’ experience in pet care, with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve owned dogs my entire life,  and have developed a strong sense of canine behavior. I grew up with large breed dogs and enjoyed every minute of it, from walking, playing, feeding, and snuggling on the couch. As an adult, of course I got my very own dog! I rescued her from HART, and it was an amazing feeling knowing she would now be given the life she deserved.

I love being a pet sitter because I get to care for all different types of animals! All the personalities that come out when you really get familiar with your client’s pet. I have cared for cats, puppies, adult, and senior dogs. I also have experience with Parrots. In addition to my pet care experience, I have excellent communication skills – with pet owners AND their pets! Any client that I am working for knows that I will care for any pet as if they were my own. I love them all!

I'm Daisy and I've been with AFPC since 2011. I'm a big fan of cats and small animals like chinchillas, especially my own 11 year old fur baby Hershey. My favorite part of the job is earning the trust and affection of all my furry friends. My service areas include Alexandria, Arlington and Falls Church.

Growing up we always had at least one dog & cat in our house. I had access to a farm through a friend of my dad, outside of my hometown of Rochester, NY. Cows, pigs, chickens, roosters, farm dogs and cats. It was spectacular!

I love working as a pet sitter and seeing the sheer joy on the faces of my little friends when I show up. I let all of my clients know that their pets are going to be cared for in the way they are used to. I treat them as if they are my own. I’m have experience giving insulin shots, hydrating senior pets, and manage multiple cats or dogs.

My wife and I have 3 cats and a young Golden Retriever named Roger. Roger and our youngest kitty, a blind tabby named Wyatt, are best friends. Our other two cats are Abyssinian, named Blue & Kiera.

My name is Dana and I started working for AFPC in 2012 when I went back to school for my Master's degree. I love visiting with all pets (especially cats but I have some great bird friends too!) as they are all so innocent and calming in nature (well my cats are not, but that's another story!) I live in Sterling with my husband and two cats, Turbo & Nitro. I currently service just the Sterling, VA area.

Hello! I am a rising sophomore at JMU, and decided to follow in my mom Magda and brother Lucas's footsteps and come work for AFPC during my breaks! I have grown up with cats and dogs my entire life, and currently share my home with two pitties, Remy and Lola, and a cat, Pistachio. I have experience with senior pets, and I've cat sat for my neighbors before, so I have experience with cat wrangling. My service areas are Herndon, Reston, and Sterling. I look forward to meeting your pets soon!

I joined AFPC in April 2018, and I love my job! I have a lifelong love for animals that goes back to childhood. I've pet sat for family and friends throughout the years, including my brother-in-law's dog Prada (in the picture with me). Over the years I've had a wide variety of pets: dogs, cats, hamsters (I had 16 at once!), guinea pigs, beta and goldfish, and domestic and wild birds. I've learned a ton through my friendship with our local animal warden. We've adopted pets through her several times, and she's helped me gain experience with a variety of pets throughout the years.

Hi I'm Ian and I have just recently joined AFPC as a pet sitter and dog walker! I have pet sat and dog walked for various family and friends over the years in the past in my hometown of Ashburn, and I am really looking forward to doing that more often with AFPC. The fact that I can do something that I personally enjoy while also helping out another person and their pets is really amazing to me and keeps me motivated!

Hello! My experience with pets has always been through other peoples' pets, as sadly I've never owned a pet of my own. I do love all animals, dogs and cats and more. I have pet sat for various family and friends in the past, and am looking forward to doing that more often with All Friends Pet Care. The fact that I can do something that I personally enjoy while simultaneously helping out another person and their pets is an amazing thing and a win win! Hello! I grew up in Beijing China until age 9. When my family moved to the US we rescued a beagle mix, Baci. She's my best friend! We recently rescued a 3 year old chihuahua, Ollie, to give Baci another friend. I have pet sat for friends and family, mostly dogs and a few cats. I've also worked in a barn with horses, and helped out at adoption centers during my service in the Scouts. I love getting to know and spending time with pets! Learning their personalities is awesome, especially when you click with them. I am an Eagle Scout, and I'm certified in CPR, AED, First Aid & Wilderness First Aid.

I joined AFPC in January 2023 and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with animals. I currently have two Labradors of my own – a yellow and a chocolate, but have had numerous dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, lizards, hermit crabs and more over the years. I’m a loving mom to all animals and a special heart for rescues. Spending time with dogs and cats is calming and I love their unconditional love. I have a lot of experience with young and old dogs and cats.

Hello! This is my second stint with AFPC – I worked here from 2017-2019 and left right before the Covid shutdown. I’m SO happy to be back! I began my animal care journey ten years ago when I became certified as a veterinary assistant and animal behaviorist. I have worked as a vet assistant, as well as a supervisor at a dog/cat hotel, and a shift lead and dog trainer at a doggie daycare. I have worked in several rescues as a transport driver and technician. I have been a dog walker and pet sitter for ten years as well! I absolutely love the opportunity to get to know every pet I visit, creating a deep connection and amazing bond. I am able to give insulin injections, IV fluids, oral/topical medications, and much more.

Hi! I just joined AFPC in Jan 2021, and I'm so happy to be here! I have owned animals my entire life. I have been working at a veterinary hospital for almost seven years, and I've pet sat on my own during that time as well. I love getting to interact with all the pets every day, and (bonus!) walking the dogs helps me to reach my step goal each day! I'm skilled at giving medications, including oral, insulin, sub-Q fluids, and I'm adept at wrangling cats, cutting nails, and even expressing anal glands.

I have grown up with many pets including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, frogs, and fish!  I currently have two pups who are the absolute best. :-) I have pet sat for friends, friends of friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. Being around animals is my favorite thing, so if there is ever an opportunity for me to hang out with one, I will always take it!  Caring for your pets is an honor and absolute joy. Hello! I'm new to AFPC but have years of experience: as a groomer, pet tech, retail sales, training, and show. I'm currently the president of my AKC breed club, and have two therapy dogs doing active volunteering. I'm looking forward to getting to know the different personalities of all of the pets I get to care for! I am extremely careful with my clients' pets, and treat them as I would want my own pets cared for. I have experience with all aged, from young puppies to very senior pets, and am experienced at giving all sorts of medications, including injections.

My name is Kathy, I stated working for AFPC in August 2008 when my youngest daughter went to middle school. That same weekend I became a preschool teacher AND a pet sitter - I have the two best jobs in the world! It is SUCH a joy to visit all the different pets - I have had birds, bearded dragons and hamsters, as well as dogs and cats of course. I live in Herndon with my husband, two labradoodles, a cat, hermit crabs and an 8 year old guinea pig. My service areas are Herndon, Reston, Sterling and Great Falls.

I grew up on a rural farm, and have been caring for animals from a very young age. More recently I worked as a Pet Care Specialist at PetSmart for several years. While I have years of experience with cats and dogs, my biggest passion is working with exotics such as reptiles, and a variety of rodents (who have no idea there are reptiles in the other room!) I am also comfortable with aquariums and caring for birds, and I have a passion for working with animals with disabilities and medical issues. I have experience with reactive dogs, shy/feral cats, and elderly animals, and I'm comfortable giving oral meds and injections. My favorite thing about caring for animals is when a friendly dog is excited to see me, a shy cat who finally lets me pet them, or an exotic animal that I've never had a chance to interact with before. I am incredibly devoted to any animal in my care, and will treat your pets just as well as my own!

I’m Lee Ann and I’ve been with All Friends Pet Care since November 2013; I mainly care for cats, although I’ve also taken care of fish and a hermit crab or two, and I enjoy visiting my little furry charges. I don’t want to say that I have any favorites, but there are some Siamese cats that have a special place in my heart! I live in Old Town Alexandria with my own cat, Daisy, and my service area is the main Alexandria area.

Hello! I am Lisa, and I've been working for AFPC since Dec 2019. I have been pet sitting for family and friends, for a variety of animals: dogs, cats, birds, and more. I'd love to start my own animal rescue one day, to turn abandoned pets into service dogs for individuals with special needs. My day job is with Fairfax County, working with underprivileged families. I have a 9 year old mini schnauzer, Mimi, who I love dearly! She is diabetic, so I'm skilled at administering insulin, and watching for any complications from her diabetes, which I've had to manage as well.

My service area is Reston, mainly North Point and the surrounding communities.

I have had pets all my life - from reptiles and rodents to fish to cats and dogs, I love animals! Professionally I have worked at a zoo as a guide and animal ambassador handler as well as at an animal rescue. In both jobs I gained a lot of experience handling all sorts of animals with all sorts of personalities. My experiences have only deepened my love for animal care. I am a pet owner and understand the stress that can go into handing your pet over to somebody else. That’s your baby! I love knowing I am able to provide the best quality care and leave owners feeling at ease while also getting to enjoy my time hanging out with animals. It’s the best! I have experience with difficult dogs, administering medicine, getting cats out of their shell, senior animals, and aquarium water changes. Hi! I'm Melina, and I've been working as a pet sitter with AFPC since 2013. I love spending time with all animals, especially dogs and cats. I live in Falls Church, but am available in most areas of Fairfax County.

I am a Herndon resident who has been surrounded by animals and pets from all across the animal kingdom for my entire life! My approach to animal care is informed by research, principle, and practical experience. Right now, my household pets include cats and dogs; in the past, it included fish, snails, aquarium shrimp, a snake, a cockatiel, and a tailless whip-scorpion! I love the experience of getting to know a pet, as it is different every time – the responsibility and privilege of caring for them, each and every single of them, is its own reward! I have experience with senior animals and can reliably administer pill pockets, eye/ear drops, and powdered medication.

Hi, I'm Mike!  I've been with AFPC since April 2001.  I primarily do dog walks in the Fairfax area, I love all of "my" dogs as my own, and I'll do anything for them.  In fact, recently my longtime (human) client passed away, and I adopted her dog!

I have been a pet sitter with AFPC since Nov 2000!  Over the years I have taken care of a wide variety of pets from cats, dogs and chickens, all ages and states of health.  I treat all of my clients' pets as my own, and I just love getting to know their personality and antics!  I'm experienced at giving medication and injections, and my service area is primarily Reston.

My name is Perianne, I started working for AFPC in the Spring of 2016 after I lost my pup to Lymphoma. Taking care of the furry babies is the best part of my day! I take care of a lot of kitties now and love getting to know them. I hope to give you peace of mind when you're traveling and can't be home with them.

I have been a vacation pet sitter for All Friends since 2006. I LOVE my kitty and pup customers! I always look forward to taking care of them and miss them if I haven’t seen them in a while. Animals are so important to our families. They add so much to our lives, entertain us, heal us, listen to us (well, sometimes ;) and LOVE us. There is nothing like unconditional love! I have had animals all my life and will always have my furry family members – can’t imagine life without them. My children have animals as well. Family gatherings often end up with six people, ten dogs and a couple of cats :D In the photo with me are my pups: Rudy – blond scruffy, Tommy T - little black dog on my lap, Rosie – Beagle squished next to me, Dorothy – curly gray girl, and Wiggly Joe – the flash on the arm jumping up/or maybe off . . . Hi, I’m Teri, and I have been pet sitting and dog walking since 2000. When I was laid off from my computer job of 20+ years, I decided I needed a change from sitting behind a desk all day. Becoming a pet sitter was the best career change I could have made! I get to spend time with my new best friends, outside walking or inside playing, receiving unconditional love, and seeing smiling faces or a wagging tail every time I arrive. I work best with small/mid-size or middle-aged/senior pets.  I've given oral medication to cats and dogs as well as insulin shots or fluids to my cat friends in need.  I lost my last cat a couple years ago and truly miss him. So when I visit your furry family member, they get all my stored up love and affection and are treated as if they were my own; they become part of my family too. I can't wait to meet your pet! My main service areas are Reston and Herndon.

We had lots of pets growing up and fostered multiple dogs and cats over the years. In my adult life, I have cared for dozens of cats and dogs, including animals with heart conditions, grand mal seizures, and dogs rescued from fighting rings. My biggest joys in life currently are my 4 resident fur-babies: dogs Cali & Poppy, and cats Juliette & Dezra.

I am very detail oriented, punctual, and integrity is definitely a big priority for me in this line of work. I have experience with oral dog & cat meds, cat wrangling, exotic pets such as birds and reptiles, and handling dogs with reactivity (leash, stranger, dog, and barrier), prey drive, resource guarding, minor handling sensitivities, separation anxiety, etc.

I've taken classes in Emergency Pet First Aid, Emergency Animal Sheltering, Veterinary Assistance, Neo-Natal Kitten Care, & volunteered at a feral cat spay/neuter clinic for five years. I do cat, dog & wildlife rescue. I can administer medicine, injections, & fluids.
